Kunjapuri ancient Temple, at the elevation of 1676 m at Kunjapuri Hill is claimed to be the one of Shakti Peeths. While you are in Rishikesh, plan a trip to visit this temple and take Shakti's blessings. Lord Shiva was carrying the burnt body of Sati, her burned chest fell at the place where the temple is currently located. You can view snow-clad white Himalayas and river Ganga (Ganges) from the same peak when it is clear; also known as Doon Valley view.
