The Healing Powers of Rava: Upma, an Indian Superfood Dish for Detox and Healing

Updated: Dec 23, 2024

Rava, also known as Semolina, is derived from Durum Wheat and is packed with beneficial nutrients like folic acid, protein, iron, zinc, magnesium, and selenium, among others.

During my healing journey, both physically and spiritually, I noticed a remarkable improvement in my health whenever I consumed Upma, which is made from Rava. I conducted in-depth research into the composition of Rava and discovered the numerous advantages of incorporating it into my diet.

As a Spiritual Healer, I dedicate time to understanding how my body and soul react to the foods I eat. Based on my observations of how my body and soul responded to various foods, Upma consistently ranked at the top of my list. I gradually recognised that Upma was instrumental in detoxifying and cleansing me from negative energies, both physical and spiritual.

Throughout my healing journey, I made several observations when I consumed Upma for all three meals:

  • My body recovered more quickly.

  • My physical appearance improved, looking healthier and more vibrant.

  • My skin became healthier.

  • My soul felt relieved, no longer burdened by unhealthy food, as I allowed myself time to detox.

What does Rava contain, and how do these elements contribute when combined in Upma?

  • Folic acid aids in the production of healthy new cells, playing a crucial role in red blood cell formation and growth.

  • Rava is rich in protein, essential for tissue building and repair.

  • Zinc boosts our immune system.

  • Magnesium supports healthy muscles, bones, and nerves.

  • Iron helps maintain balanced blood circulation.

  • It is high in carbohydrates and low in fat, providing ample energy.

  • It is high in fiber.

  • Potassium is beneficial for kidney and heart function.

  • Calcium strengthens our bones.

Additionally, Rava contains selenium, which enhances cardiovascular health. Selenium acts as an antioxidant that prevents oxidation or oxidative stress. When oxygen interacts with food, it can lead to oxidation, but selenium helps metabolize it, ensuring the immune system functions well and maintains healthy brain activity. It also plays a role in preventing infections.

Picture our bodies as rusty machinery affected by oxidative stress, needing a good cleaning to regain a fresh appearance. This transformation is akin to consuming Upma made from Rava. We experience an improved sense of well-being, both internally and externally.

Consider making Upma and embark on your own healing journey, observing how your body responds both physically and spiritually. Remember, health is wealth, and only when we are healthy can we truly serve others.
