A grandfather’s village, a granddaughter’s search for her roots
We are honoured to share that Yash Jegathesan, Founder of Yash Foundation and author of Soul Return: A Spiritual Memoir of Ancestral Remembrance, has been featured by Free Malaysia Today (FMT).
The article explores Yash’s personal journey of ancestral remembrance, beginning with her grandfather’s journey from India to Malaya and extending into her own search for cultural identity, family memory and belonging.
For more than three decades, this personal journey has grown into a wider exploration of cultural memory, living heritage, migration, identity and ancestral remembrance.
It eventually became the foundation for Soul Return and Yash’s continuing work through Yash Foundation and Yash Heritage.
